Begin your journey with a meeting with a member of the Icon Homes Team. This will allow us to gain an insight into not only what you are trying to achieve from the design of your home, but also an understanding of the features of your block that will influence the future design. Armed with this information, we will be able to provide you with a Site Assessment outlining the estimated cost to construct your home. This Site Assessment is free of charge and will give you an understanding of what is possible.
So we can ensure the plan suits your block perfectly we will need to gather some information on the site conditions. In order to fully explore the features of your land we will organize and manage the completion of a Contour Survey and a Bore Hole Report (soil testing).
Now for the fun part! Using your own plans or inspiration as a starting point, we will work with you to come up with a ‘wish list’ of features that you would like to incorporate into your design. Armed with this information we will draw up the first draft of your custom concept plans.
To make sure we are all on the same page once we receive the first draft we will catch up again to review the plans and identify any changes that need to be made. It is vital that we have design as close as possible before we start the estimating process.
We all hate surprises so at this point you will be provided with a tender for the home you love. All that is left to do is hit the go button and get started on bringing your concept design to life!
